Simion Mehedinti is the most representative figure of Romanian modern geography. He remains unrivaled personality through his force of synthesis the dominant idea: how to define, more clearly, geography and to find for it a unshakable place among the sciences. Mehedinti is also known in Romanian geography thanks to the school that he founded. Meghedinti’s opera left deep marks on Romanian geography. Its tracks is founded directly and indirectly in a scientific approach and geographical Romanian studies, but also in the further development of other sciences. |
