| Rezumat | ||||||
The NGO sector in Moldova has recently benefited from the international community support, representing more opportunities for developing and strengthening a viable civil society in our country. But like the transition to a market economy, in Moldova the process is much longer, recording both successes and failures. This situation is due to the complexity of civil society institutions concerned, including: reduced ability to fulfill statutory objectives; low level of development and performance; insufficient financial resources in implementing activities; nature of social relations in terms of change and modernization capacity and the availability of sufficient and reliable information on development issues. In this article we focus to examine the challenges and prospects of development of civil society institutions starting with the needs of local communities. |
