The article analyzes the problems regarding democracy and the relation of power and political opposition in the context of COVID-19 pandemics. The authors consider that the pandemic revitalized old philosophical issues as the relations between state – individual, freedom – constraint, democracy – tyranny, democracy – oligarchy. Based on methodological landmarks, the Republic of Moldova socio - political situation was reviewed on the eve of presidential elections of November 2020 as well as the result of these elections. The phenomenon of political migration among the members of the Parliament lead to the deepening of political crisis generating as a result the lack of a legal majority of the Parliament. In this context, early elections become mandatory in order to reflect the real options of the citizens.
