Rezumat

Useful biological activity of both natural and synthetic spiranes attracts interest of synthetic and medicinal chemists [1]. Recently, the oxindole derivatives featuring a spiro-cyclopropane unit have become a focus of attention due to their promising activity as HIV-1 non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTI) [2, 3].The diazoderivatives of isatin 1 have been used as precursors to carbenoid species to synthesize series of new compounds via cyclopropanation employing Cu and Pd complexes as catalytic agent.formulaThe structures and the stereochemistry of the chiral centers of five compounds have been established by Xray analysis (2a. X=Br, Y=H; 3a. ×H2O, X=Br, Y=H; 2b. X=H, Y=Br; 3b. X=H, Y=Br; 2c. X=Cl, Y=Br). Compounds 2a, 2b and 2c are cis –isomers, while 3a and 3b represent trans-.isomer. Compound 2a crystallizes in chiral space group P21, but comprises in asymmetric part of unit cell two different stereoisomers with opposite configuration of C8 and C9 atoms, thus represents racemate. The 3a, 2b, 3b, 2c crystallize in center symmetric space groups, 3a was found in the form of monohydrate. Water molecule in 3a forms H-bond O1W-H×××O1 (O1W×××O1=3.001Å, H×××O1=2.19Å, ÐO1W-H×××O1=161°). The torsion angle C1C8C9C11 equals -4.64o and 3.04o for 2a and -133.55o, -6.8o, -137.17o, 7.74o for 3a, 2b, 3b, 2c, respectively.
