In the last 10-15 years information technologies have developed in an accelerated way as far almost every man have at least one own electronic device. Many of these devices are connected directly to the internet. Thus, many of the economic and social fields have been adapted to the new trends of technology making full use of information technologies. The same thing happened in education field, where traditional teaching began to be replaced by the new distance learning (elearning). In this article is described the possibility of using distance learning within the programming courses which involves laboratory activities. It present how to install, configure and use the Virtual Programming Lab module in MOODLE platform.
