In the article THE METAPHOR – A COMMUNICATION BETWEEN CONSCIOUS AND UNCONSCIOUS we analyze the relation between conscious and unconscious in Lucian Blaga’s lyrical and philosophical works. We are referring to the poems and treaties written by Blaga during his diplomatic activity. Especially in this period he wrote the well known philosophical and cultural concepts like “stylistical matrix”, “metaphysical sadness”, “panism” (expressionism), “creative power”, “the metaphorical” and “personal entity”. In this article there are created the connections with philosophical systems of Freud, Adler, Jung, which emphasize on the unconscious matters. The key concept of the metaphor as a communication between conscious and unconscious is convincing illustrated through his poems from the books Praise to sleep and At the courts of longing.
