The first impediment of the concept of fantastic is its definition. The concerns regarding the definition of this concept have originated in antiquity. The given issue remains open so far because the supporting arguments to the definition of this concept aren’t widely accepted and all the aspects are not fixed. Although Fănuş Neagu's prose falls broadly, in the formula of a magic realism, the proper fantastic elements are not lacking. Therefore, one of the aims is to demonstrate that in the Fănuş Neagu's novel „The angel cried out” conclusive fantastic items can be found. |
