Background. Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common supraventricular arrhythmia and significantly contributes to morbidity and mortality through cardiovascular disease. Patients with atrial fibrillation have a five times higher risk of stroke. Objective of the study. To study the importance of inflammatory biomarkers, such as C-reactive protein (CRP) and neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (RNL), for the risk of severe complications in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation. Material and Methods. The diagnostic study, which included 98 patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation. These were randomized into 2 groups: the study group (GS) - 64 patients and the control group (GC) - 34 patients. In GS, patients on the anticoagulant therapy, in GC patients without anticoagulant therapy. During the study were analyzed the results of inflammatory biomarkers PCR and NLR in GS and GC. Results. The mean age at the time of research in GS to women was 68.1 ± 1.39 years, to men 65.4 ± 1.92 years; in GC to men the average age of 66.3 ± 2.82 years and to women 68.4 ± 1.83 years. The mean of inflammatory biomarker PCR in GS to men was 6.73 ± 1.12 mg / l, to women 6.46 ± 0.93 mg / lg; in GC to men 11.09 ± 2.82 mg / l and to women 8.62 ± 1.77 mg / l. The patients from GS, higher values of the mean NLR were found to men 2.77 ± 0.27 than to women 2.49 ± 0.31 and those from GC to men 3.57 ± 0.71 and to women 2.68 ± 0.34. Conclusion. The wide use of markers, by means of simple and inexpensive methods in laboratory diagnosis, allows to assess the severity and prognosis of the evolution of the disease. We can mention the importance of NLR and CRP values in identifying those patients who have an increased risk of complications. |
