Background. Management of skin diseases in the Republic of Moldova represents a stringent medical as well as socio-economic issue, which depends on the availability of a fairly wide range of qualitative and at the same time affordable pharmaceuticals. Objective of the study. To analyze pharmaceutical forms and formulations used for treatment of skin diseases basing on data published in literature, the State Nomenclature of the Republic of Moldova, according to ATC classification system, country, producer etc. Material and Methods. To achive the purposed aim a review of the literature, clinical documentation and State Nomenclature of the Republic of Moldova has been made, including evaluation of the pharmaceutical manufecterers based on the price of produced medicines as well as validity period declared, etc. The methodology of the study included: analytical, descriptive and comparative statistical methods. Results. From the total of 10924 preparations registered in the Republic of Moldova on 14.04.2017-526 were preparations used in dermatological practice. In the top of pharmaceutical forms used in dermatological practice were ointments - 274 (52.09%) and solutions for external use -162 (30.80%). The most pharmaceutical preparations registered in the Republic of Moldova were of autochthon origin -212 preparations (40.30%), which had the lowest price. The leader was Farmaprim SRL, RM with 46 registered preparations. The shelf life period of most preparations used in dermatological practice, registered in the Republic of Moldova 505 (96%) was at least 24 months parameter-guarantor of quality. Conclusion. The percentage of medicines used in dermatological practice in the Republic of Moldova was 4.82%, of which pharmaceutical forms for external use accounted for over 80%. Most medicines that have been registered and used in dermatological practice were of local origin, qualitative and accessible. |
