Backgroun. Monitoring of risk factors at work and the health status of employees are the essential foundations for strengthening and promoting the health of the employed population, through the development of primary prevention measures, early detection of functional changes in the body and occupational diseases. Objective of the study. Epidemiological evaluation of morbidity with temporary incapacity for work registered in the Republic of Moldova, with the identification of general trends. Material and Methods. A retrospective-descriptive epidemiological study of temporary incapacity for work was performed, registered in the Republic of Moldova, according to the data of the statistical report F-16 ITM/e, as well as the evaluation of the country's economic potential from the perspective of occupational risks. The observation period covers the years 1981-2019. Results. The health status of employees in relation to work is determined by working conditions, as well as the duration of exposure. In 2019, the majority of the employed population is employed in agriculture (37.4%), in public administration, education, health and social assistance (19.1%), in HORECA (16.1%), industry (12.2%) and others (10.9%). In total, about 60% had employee status. Over 310000 people (25%) have a working week of 41 hours. The incidence of morbidity through temporary incapacity for work remains high at about 59.3 cases and 883.6 days per 100 employees. There are differences in the morbidity structure of the occupied population compared to the general population Conclusion. The existence of differences in the health status of the employed population compared to the general population suggests the contribution of professional factors to the formation and maintenance of the incidence of noncommunicable diseases with multifactorial determination. |
