Background. Quality assurance in teacher training is a challenge of contemporary education at all levels. In the Development Strategy of SUMPh ”Nicolae Testemitanu”, the quality of professional and pedagogical training of medical academics is one of the basic objectives. Objective of the study. Analysis of the opinions and perspectives in the formation and development of the didactic competence of the medical academics within the realization of the educational approach in the medical higher education. Material and Methods. Type of study: primary, selective, descriptive, crosssectional. Research methods: bibliographic, statistical and sociological. Methods of collecting primary material: analysis of bibliographic sources, analysis of official documents and questioning. The sample of respondents consisted of 104 teachers from SUMPh "Nicolae Testemitanu". The study was conducted from March to May 2020. Results. Most of the respondents (90.38 ± 5.67%, 95% CI) mentioned that the training in psychopedagogy is a very important one for all medical academics. The most current directions for the development of the psycho-pedagogical training module proposed by the respondents were to emphasize practical skills (32.69 ± 9.02%), paying more attention to pedagogical training (25.0 ± 8.32%), highlighting pedagogical training in the taught specialty (17.31 ± 7.27%) and focusing on developing the necessary key competencies (11.54 ± 6.14%). Conclusion. According to international standards, in order to obtain the status of teacher, it is necessary to follow a pedagogical training.Valorization of student-centered teaching methods, simulation and online training are ongoing challenges for psycho-pedagogical training at SUMPh ”Nicolae Testemitanu". |
