Human capital is one of the main factors in the development of the economy, both at microeconomic and macroeconomic level, because an economic entity is composed of the sum of the abilities and professional skills of its employees. Commercial banks are not exception because all its services and products are sold by people, bank employees. Banking activity is a subject to a variety of risks, reputational and operational risks being extremely important in the development of a commercial bank. These risks being directly influenced by the commercial bank staff, and influence, consequently, the banking system as a whole. The "Theft of the Bill" in 2015 was planned and executed by the people, and the consequences were negative for the whole banking sector, followed by a crisis that covered the entire economy of the Republic of Moldova. In this context, we consider it absolutely necessary to analyze the impact of human capital on the vulnerability of the Moldovan banking system. |
