During 2008–2020, several scandals took place in Constanța County, related to the phenomena of destruction of the cultural heritage of Constanța County. From these, we selected 4 that we considered to be more representative. We presented these reprehensible cases because they are emblematic of the way the authorities in this county react to the violation by investors of the legislation in force regarding the protection of heritage. In the first case, this is the fact that an Italian foundation requested the approval of the execution of seven copies after the original metopes to be presented in an exhibition in Florence. With the complicity of the director of MINAC and the Director of the Culture Department, the work was carried out in violation of the legislation in the field. In the second case, the Autostrada business, an apartment company of a DJCCPCN employee, manages to take over the unloading of three sections of the Bucharest-Constanța highway. The implication of awarding the contract is broadly explained as follows: how – somehow Astaldi assigns the archaeological research / discharge contract to Deprom, and not to the Archaeological Museum, but Deprom can only do the work with specialized employees of the museum. So Deprom concludes a contract with MINA, but is careful not to pay too much for the services provided by the employee, in this regard mentioning in documents an extremely vague term – „manual digging”, which does not include technical drawings, photographs or surveys topographic, things that normally complete the picture of the works that are done in the given. In the Hunchiar business, the director Virgil Lungu issued an opinion (opinion 1012 / Z / 09.07.2008), which allowed the investor to approach up to 1.21 m from the wall of the place of worship, which he did. This situation led to the appearance of cracks in the wall of the Hunchiar mosque monument. In January 2020, an association from Constanta, „Verde Urban”, published on a social network a video made on Tomis Boulevard, no. 49 A, where a construction site is opened in order to erect an office building by Bueno Comp SRL. They claimed the existence of bulldozers that would endanger an archeological site. „A contest of circumstances (a strange opinion of the Minister of Culture, the vote for local councilors) led to the dubious approval of this project to build a building near the Court of Constanta, 10 meters from Lupoaica and the entrance to Ovidiu Square, over the remains archeological sites of great historical and patrimonial value. It shows in the images ancient walls, a possible tunnel… all will be destroyed by the equipment brought on a Saturday, just to minimize the reactions of the people”
