Rezumat

The paper considers the problems of strategic management in the tourism industry, which can be viewed from the perspective of economic effect to achieve the objectives of tourism organization on the basis of a proactive response to changes in external and internal environment and, on this basis, hold a competitive advantage. A comparative analysis of two regions of the Russian Federation, which are most similar in the strategic area of management and are in the same zone of the tourism industry: the Republic of Crimea and the Krasnodar territory. Recommendations for improvement of the strategic development plans of the Republic of Crimea.
