Our discourse is motivated by the increased interest of society towards the components of traditional culture and civilization and of the Moldovan folk costume in particular. Given these conditions, we aim to determine the techniques and tools by which the capacity of the traditional Moldovan dress was assimilated and processed in order to formulate the basic landmarks of folk style in clothing in the Moldovan SSR. Additionally, the purpose is to verify the extent to which the widespread dissemination of this style marked the socio-cultural space researched. Once this topic is approached from the perspective of a well-defined purpose, the research initiates from the hypothesis that following the application of techniques and tools of assimilation, processing and dissemination, the traditional Moldovan dress formulated the basic landmarks of folk style in clothing and involuntarily served the desires of Soviet culture in the Moldovan SSR.
