The article addresses the creative activities of Muslim Magomaev, one of the most prominent vocalists of Russia and Azerbaijan in the second half of the 20th century. The author analyzes the singer’s professional biography and demonstrates how his vocal abilities allowed him to perform in classical, folk and pop music events. Magomaev contributed to the development of Russian and Azerbaijani music as well as to the promotion of the European musical heritage. |
