Using archival, bibliographic and other sources, the article assesses the scale of repressions against heads of families in Gagauz villages in 1940-1941. These data also made it possible to determine the time and reason for the arrest, the social status of the arrested, their further fate, etc. The total number of repressed heads of families for each Gagauz village is presented in the table and indicated separately for 1940 and 1941. A brief biography of the Mayors of Comrat and Ceadir-Lunga, arrested in 1940, as well as the fate of the Kara and Kusuruz families from Ceadir-Lunga, arrested in 1941, is given. |
