Rezumat

Introduction. Implant-abutment connections today are increasingly discussed by the presence of one or other connection. Today becomes a major importance in the dentistry restorations supported on implants. Dental implants systems with two or more components are used more often than those of a surgical piece because its technical and clinical advantages. The aim of this study: to determine the reproducibility of the AI (aesthetical index) and the influence exerted by the determinants. Material and methods. One of the subjective methods is the patient's ability to answer the questionnaires, which may express satisfaction or any deficiency that may exist. However, subjective evaluation is not appropriate for assessing the possibilities for improving restoration. Objective methods can be assessed by a professional examiner. Results. In order to evaluate the aesthetic result, well-defined objective parameters are needed, in terms of the peri-implant mucosa and the dental crown. Recent discoveries regarding the materials used in the manufacture of implants and variations in the morphology of the implant surface have contributed to better results. Discussion and conclusions. The validity and reproducibility of ICE is debatable as an objective tool in dental aesthetics. Dental implantology allows restoration in almost any clinical situation, ranging from partially or totally edentulous patients with greater success and predictability. Despite all the progress that has been made so far in the field of implantology, the goal remains to further simplify the existing stages, in order to reduce the duration of implant-prosthetic treatment, both for the patient and for the clinician.
