Rezumat

For the first time, in Republic of Moldova (RM) was made an epidemiologic study of the GERD (according to an ESGERD Epidemiologic Study of the Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease). There were interviewed 1820 respondents, according to the questionnaire from Mayo Clinic. The study involved 1390 men and 2210 women aged between 16 and 79 years. It has been assessed that in RM, the pyrosis as a symptom of GERD is very common: at least once a month 50,6%, frequently- 18,3 % cases and for 6,3 % patients this symptom was permanent .
