The article presents a brief research of the metaphorical elements in the constitution of the Latin aphorism, which represents the ancient and medieval philosophy of the Romans, but which is still current in the specialized languages of Romanian such as medical, technical, biological, didactic, scientific, etc. Understanding Latin aphorisms is possible thanks to the process of semantic and semiotic equivalence from the source language into Romanian. Equivalence is produced cognitively, connotatively and denotatively. |
