This article addresses the issue of resources of significance and functionality of the concept of global ethics in the context of the development of global society, which is directly reflected on the thinking, activity and social responsibility of contemporary man. Today, the concepts of collective mentality and democracy must be analyzed in relation to the phenomena of globalization and technological progress, to the system of common universal principles and values, to the specifics of global citizenship and to the concepts of common interdependence and prosperity. Democracy must become a common identity, by overcoming personal, local, national and regional boundaries of collective consciousness, and shaping a new way of thinking and perceiving things, of acting and being responsible for the consequences of one's activity. All this guides our common tendency, as citizens of the planet, to face the greatest challenges facing humanity today, whose common dream remains to be - a world in which peace and respect for human dignity reign. |
