Rezumat | ||||||
The winter agrarian and calendar holidays of the Ukrainians of the Republic of Moldova are distinguished by their extraordinary conservatism and vitality. However, under the infl uence of historical, socio-political, economic, climatic and other factors, they naturally evolve. In terms of the pace and nature of transformations, these processes are less dynamic than in the metropolis. In conditions of a foreign ethnic environment, active intercultural infl uences in the area of the East Roman-East Slavic borderland, archaic, often unique, and sometimes long lost in Ukraine rites and traditions of the winter calendar cycle have been preserved. Their preservation is promoted by persistent ethnic memory, the ethnocultural policy pursued by the state; educational work of research centers, educational institutions, the media, Ukrainian ethnocultural organizations, ethnographic groups at rural and city clubs, and houses of culture. |
