For completing the entomological patrimony with systemic data in the scientific exposition of certain species from the group of staphylinids, the present work presents the faunistic material for the species Ocypus nitens (Schrank, 1781), from ord. Coleoptera, fam. Staphylinidae, subfam. Staphylininae accumulated by the author over the years (2008-2011, 2013, 2017) and the collections of the entomologists S. Bacal and V. Ciubcic (2004-2005, 2008). The paper also presents aspects regarding the influence of climatic conditions on the species in different years, the geographical spread, systematics and classification, sequences from the morphological description of the species, the bioecological particularities, the country map indicating the researched points, original images on the knowledge of the staphylinid addressed in the paper. The species was investigated at different points throughout the territory of the Republic of Moldova, with the intention of carrying out a mathematical synthesis from an analytical point of view. The data presented are the author's contribution to the information development of this group for the entomological database of our country and for storing the relevant evidence in the existing institutional research centers.
