Rezumat | ||||||
In this article we propose a look at Mircea Eliade's books that can be used in the imagology of the Orient. We explain the notions of orientalism and exoticism and materialize their links with literary imagology. We present the corpus of imagotypical texts from the creation of the Romanian writer that can be analyzed through the prism of orientalism and exoticism. In the second part of the article, we propose a repertoire of representations of exotic nature in the work of the Romanian writer. The writer and scientist highlights India's otherness through valuable images: nature is life-giving, full of oxygen, in contrast to the polluted nature of the West; but also negatives, which pose dangers to the Western world. |
