Syntagms such as gender equality, gender equity and equality between women and functioning, can thus be topics such as women’s empowerment, proportional representation and the election of women in political positions, are very widespread in the vocabulary of several countries. These terms are frequently used for the media, bodies, national organizations for union (UN) and other international bodies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and community organizations, as well as for all professional structures. Local authorities, also talking more and more about gender equality and equality for citizens, about the conditions for the application of democratic, inclusive and effective local government. As famous authorities are closest to the lives and well-being of citizens - women and parties, young and old - and care can provide a range of essential services, public authorities can make offers to promote equality and gender protection. However, although there are words that are common, the terms „gender” and „women” can be confusing. Many times, the term „gender” is used interchangeably with the term „women”. There is also confusion between „gender” and „sex”. It has the right gender to be a central principle of organizing society, we cannot integrate the perfect human society and cultures if we cannot understand the gender dimension. |
