The article analyses relations between European Union (EU) and Republic of Moldova. Republic of Moldova participates in many EU agreements and programs, through which EU seeks to improve democracy, the rule of law and human rights in the Republic of Moldova, including in joint programs with the Council of Europe. An effective government policy will facilitate the process of adhering to EU and ensure Moldovan legislation to be in line with the European one. Moldovan authorities will have to prove the democratization process of the society by addressing those challenges that Moldovan society face. By strictly adhering to the commitments made to European partners, Moldova could make an important leap in terms of reforms and obtain qualitative progress in the implementation of the Association Agreement, which will determine the continuous support of the EU internally and externally.
