Particularities of literary works define the method and techniques or procedures of book graphics studying. The analytical concepts and principles approached by the Moldovan and foreign authors have served as a methodological source for studying the aspects of narrative and symbol in the art of national book graphics. The literary and graphic artistic image have tangents, as well as divergences in the treatment of the narrative and the symbol, because it is considered that the elaboration of book graphics, in general, is based on two principles of approaching the textual content: narrative and symbolic content. As there is a correlation between them in a graphic image, it would be wrong to analyze the symbolic aspect separate from the narrative one.
