This article is devoted to the issue of harmony and its importance in the interpersonal communication as reflected in the One Belt One Road Initiative. The author notes, among others, that the communication considered in descriptions of the OBOR Initiative has the character of the international and global communication but is not intercultural. However, the category of harmony in the social consciousness of Chinese people usually concerns intrapersonal and group communication, less often interpersonal communication.
