The article provides information on the archive fund of the All-Union Central Committee of the new (latinized) alphabet stored in the Archive of the Russian Academy of Sciences, in which they deposited: report of K. Alaverdov on a business trip to examine the state of the Moldavian literary language and written language, dated 1934, and the minutes of the meeting at the Committee for Work on the Moldavian Language, dated April 17, 1935. The report highlights the issues of the work of the Scientific Committee and the linguistic section of the Moldovan People’s Commissariat of Education, the Moldavian Committee in Latinization, and submitted proposals for improving linguistics in the republic. The meeting noted that the Romanian language developed with approximately equal participation of elements from all dialects, primarily the Moldovan dialect, and that there was no fundamental difference between the Romanian language of fiction and the spoken language of the Moldovan masses.
