Grammar reveals a number of topical issues of modern morphology, modern syntax. It covers the development of the theory of sentences and the theory of development of modern linguistic features. The aim of the article is to study the features of representations of the genus category in the Romanian language. Categories of the genus in the Romanian language belong to nouns. Nouns represent living beings, which they divide by a biological sign: male and female. Nouns that indicate inanimate beings are considered as a grammatical category, which, in addition to the ending, should be correlated with other parts of speech. In the Romanian language there are tokens that have only one form for designating creatures of both genders. Words of this type are usually called general nouns. It is difficult to determine the gender of the other four nouns only by their form, since in addition to the feminine, there are also masculine and middle gender. Therefore, in order to determine the gender of nouns, it is necessary to go beyond the grammatical category of the gender and turn to another grammatical category of nouns - numbers. Practical mastery of the category of gender in the Romanian language will help ensure the mastery of the necessary grammatical knowledge, increase the level of language competencies. |
