Common words in Bulgarian and Romanian (loanwords from Bulgarian into Romanian and Vice versa, common loanwords from foreign languages, some inherited words) make up about 38% of their entire vocabulary. The Romanian language has developed under the strong influence of the Bulgarian language, and therefore it has many Bulgarian words in all areas of vocabulary. Many people of various origins have long inhabited the Balkan Peninsula. Here arose one of the greatest cultures of antiquity, there were various movements and mixing of people. |
