Since the beginning of the twentieth century, as a result of the many intellectuals efforts like Tynystanov has begun the collection and writing the Kyrgyz folklore. In 1922 a scientific conference was established in Turkestan Soviet Union and organized folklore expedition of legends, fairy tales, proverbs, epics and epic studies. Members of the Tashkent Scientific Council and organizers of the “Naryn Expedition” and the representatives of Kyrgyzstan were Erkin Arabayev and Kasym Tynystanov. In the composition of the folklore expedition were K. Miftakhov, S. Soronbayev, I. Abdulrahmanov and others.
