Rezumat

This article discusses the development of the Gagauz language through the effective teaching of the Gagauz language and literature in schools. The characteristic features of understanding by students and the teacher of the importance of learning the native language are analyzed, also the methods used in the lessons and open events devoted to the history, traditions and culture of the Gagauz people are shown. The advantages and disadvantages of the influence of information technology on education are revealed, ways to interest children in studying the Gagauz language are presented, which contributes to the development of creativity, eloquence, curiosity, and the desire to acquire knowledge from their own motives. Based on the study, the author proposes the implementation of practical, constructive, effective and fruitful teaching methods so that students can correctly express their thoughts in the Gagauz language, love their native word, and want to taste the “sweetness” of knowledge on their own. The main purpose of studying and teaching the Gagauz language is to educate citizens to love their language and speak it.
