The studies were performed in 2011-2013 în Vadul-li-Vodă recreational area of Chisinau city. 471 small mammals belonging to 8 rodent species and 3 species of shrews were collected. In all the studied biotopes the species A. sylvaticus, A. flavicollis, A. agrarius were registered as dominant species in most biotopes and M. glareolus and Microtus sp. as less abundant species. Mound-building mouce was recorded in 3 biotopes with high dominance in agrocenoses. Indices of diversity have the highest values in the forest and ecotones. The greatest similarity was recorded between the small mammal communities in the forest and the forest belt. The lowest from similarity was registered between agrocenosis and the rest of biotopes.
