Teza

Condensed tannins, isolated from grape seeds, known as proanthocyanidins, constitute a group of natural substances with a polyphenolic structure. Taking into consideration the fact that wine byproducts value presents a research priority direction recognized by Government of the Republic of Moldova, a number of companies have initiated research programs aimed at developing efficient processes for extracting proanthocyanidins from grape seeds. The first explored source of condensed tannins was the pine’s bark, but this role came back to grape seeds, thanks to their availability in industrial quantities. Consequently, on the wine secondary product market appeared a series of extracts from grape seeds which present reliable sources of tannins. In order to improve physicochemical properties of these compounds, their structure and physicochemical properties were modified by redox reactions, which resulted in obtaining a new product, called Enoxil [1-2]. It has been established that after the Enoxil administration, there is a faster regression of lesion, reduction of inflammatory signs, number of complications and healing time decrease. Enoxil efficacy has been demonstrated in the treatment of gastric ulcers by reducing the regeneration time, the lesions surface and their number. The possibility of using Enoxil as a remedy for preparations variety with antibacterial, antifungal and regenerative widening and / or completing has been also proven. The antibacterial activity of Enoxil is based on its ability to inhibit the activity of some important enzymes that leads to multiplication of process repressions; the antifungal repression of linear growth of fungal colonies (Fusarium spp.) and the antioxidant one, the high capacity capture of free radicals from the system. In the local treatment of trophic leg ulcers, the Enoxil (0.6% of aqueous solution) has demonstrated its efficiency by reducing the inflammatory phenomena, reducing discharges from the wound, the treatment duration being 5-7 days less compared with the common treatment. In the treatment of thermal injuries, the Enoxil preparation (aqueous solution of 1%) proves its efficiency in reducing the purulent discharges from the wound, accelerating the epithelialization processes [3].
