Rezumat

The results of the study of variability and heritability of seven quantitative traits in three tomato hybrids were presented. It was revealed that the coefficient of variation for the number of fruits per plantwas highin all studied forms and the highest in the F2 hybrid combination Maestro x Mihaela (55.0%) and in one of the parents - Mihaela (47.8%). The highest coefficient of variation for weight of the fruitis was observed in the variety Maestro (33.6%). It was established that all hybrids had high heritability coefficient for the trait of the number of fruits per plant. In hybrid combinations Jubiliar 60/20 x Maestro and Jubiliar 60/20 x Mihaelathe coefficient is high for the most characteristics studied.
