The article examines the international position of the Ottoman Empire in the eighteenth century. This period of internal crisis in the Empire makes its object the expansion of European empires. The European empires, especially Russia want to weaken the Ottoman Empire from the inside, supporting the Christians. The Ottoman Empire is changing its foreign policy, and also seeking to use the contradictions between the European empires. |
