Rezumat | ||||||
Both the sonnet (a variety of fixed poetry), and especially the ”wreath of sonnets” (the corollary of the given species), require considerable efforts in seeking the perfect compatibility between form and content. Among the few Romanian poets who practiced the crown of sonnets there can be listed Nicolae Matcas, with two specimens: În ziua-n care-om da de-acea comoară (On the day in which the man finds that treasure) and Pe ceruri stea, sidef pe fund de mare (A star on the sky, a mother-of-pearl on the seabed). The first wreath of sonnets is a manifestation of the country love, while the second is a hymn dedicated to the beloved woman, both of which are evidence of the self-discipline of poetic thinking and feeling. |
