The modest number of Bessarabian ecclesiastical seals discovered so far, as well as the insignificant publications in this field, points to the importance of an in-depth research in this area. The author presents five recently identified ecclesiastical seals from Bessarabia. Chronologically framed between 1816 and 1918, these seals offer us an extensive research material due to their various messages and typologies, the content of the texts certified by them, and the place where they were found. Two of the seals described date from 1816 and 1828 and belonged to The Assumption of the Mother of God Monastery of Hârbovăţ. They were made during the time of hegumens Seraphim (1805-1827) and Ioanichie (1827-1851). One of these seals is a seal matrix with a wooden handle, another is a seal applied in red wax on the back of the icon of the Virgin Mary of Hârbovăţ, made in 1840. The next seal, which is part of a particular collection, belonged to the Sf. Voievozi Church from Hasan-Aspaga, Bolgrad County, and was made in 1877. Next, we present two seals of 1918 preserved on the pages of Pomelnic (the list of names for commemoration in the church) procured by the Parochial Committee of the Romanian Orthodox Women of the Church of St. Theodore Tyron, Chişinău. The ink seal is stamped at the very beginning of the Pomelnic to certify a text about founders and donors. Another seal applied in red wax is placed at the end of the records in the Pomelnic. These five ecclesiastical seals are iconographic, monumental and heraldic. Putting them in the scientific use completes the list of ecclesiastical seals in Bessarabia and offers researchers new data about the objects and the history of the places of worship they represent.
