In vegetation experiments it was found that exogenous treatment of plants with putrescine, with a lack of moisture supply on a non-saline background, increases the transpiration intensity of leaves with an increase of the leaf water deficit and their succulence. Exogenous treatment of plants with putrescine on a saline background increases the relative content of water in the leaves, reduces the leaf water deficit, increases the loss of water by the leaves when determining water retention (upon wilting). |
