Rezumat

Two successive generation of double haploid lines derived from the maize hybrid Rf7 x Ku123 were tested in NC-3 design to estimate mean linkage between loci controlling grain yield in order to find out how linkage skews the Comstock-Robinson estimation of degree of dominance. It is established that mean linkage disequilibrium lies in the range 0.037-0.073 that agrees with the hypothesis of a random distribution of QTL on the genetic map. After taking into account the linkage effect, the corrected value of average degree of dominance was 0.56-0.80. So the heterosis in this hybrid is caused by dominant interactions.
