У статті досліджується досвід Великої Британії у сфері інституційно-правового забезпечення захисту об’єктів культурної спадщини. На основі аналізу законодавчих актів у сфері охорони історико-культурних пам’яток розкрито англійську модель реалізації відповідної державної політики. Акцентовано увагу на ефективності правової регламентації партнерства держави, бізнесу і громадян, що створює атмосферу оптимального співвідношення колективної та індивідуальної відповідальності. Обґрунтовано, що для України, незважаючи на істотні відмінності в системі інституційних і законодавчих механізмів охорони культурної спадщини, корисним може бути британський досвід забезпечення участі громадськості й благодійних організацій у збереженні історико-культурних об’єктів, залучення додаткових коштів для фінансування галузі культури, захисту культурних цінностей під час військових операцій.

In the article the UK’s experience in the sphere of institutional and legal providing of the cultural heritage protection is explored. Based on the analysis of legislative acts on the historical and cultural memorials protection, the English model of the implementation of the relevant state policy is revealed. Emphasis is placed on the effectiveness of legal regulation of partnership between the state, business and citizens, which creates an atmosphere of optimal balance of collective and individual responsibility. It is substantiated that, despite significant differences in the system of institutional and legislative mechanisms for the cultural heritage protection, the British experience in providing of public and charitable organizations participation in the historical and cultural objects preservation, raising additional funds for financing the cultural sector, protection of cultural heritage values during military operations may be useful for Ukraine
