Rezumat | ||||||
Different practices in translation studies from the viewpoint of multicultural discourse accentuate on the dominative role of artistic translation. In this regard, theorists and scholars focus on the shift of emphasis that identify translation as an act of creative rewriting, means of modelling certain literary norms as well as historical, social and cultural stereotypes. We also move away from the distinction between source and target texts (faithfulness and equivalence in the process of transmission from one language into another) and view translation as an act of cross-cultural communication to promote cultural diversity and uphold dialogue between cultures. The study presents an attempt to shed light on the “inter” role of artistic translation aiming to discover its multicultural and cross-literary assessment. |
