In this study two conceptions are intertwined: the dialogism and the "dialogic principle". The Bakhtinian Dialogism will help to nuance the dialogue as a process. The Dialogical Principle by Todorov will reinforce the idea of the inner dialogue-in-the-being as a result. In the first case, we will tackle the cultural identity as the being-in-the-dialogue and will highlight the transfer of the symbolic aspects of the identity within the concept of language-culture and cultural heritage. In the second case, we will observe the transcultural identity as the being-in-dialogue at the crossroads of cultures. Transcultural identity is a being-in-intrinsic and extrinsic dialogue. The traits of cultural, religious, ethnic, political and ideological identity merge with the empirical variables of the dialogical identity and its pluri-culturality.
