In the Republic of Moldova, as in many countries in Europe, wheat is the main food crop. However, obtaining high and stable yields of this crop is not possible without the use of complex integrated plant protection methods. Suffice it to note that, according to the FAO , dealing with food and agriculture to the UN, the decline in the yield of agricultural crops from pests, diseases and weeds all over the world is about 20%. The annual yield losses are 30-35 % in terms of money about $ 75 mld, including the loss of crops were estimated at about $ 34 mld, or about 35 % of the potential yield possible.Integrated protection of wheat against pests mentioned above involves the use of complex agronomic, biological and chemical methods to suppress populations below the economic threshold. |
