In various international forums on CBRN security was repeatedly highlighted the importance of professionals education, whose activities will be held in the areas of risk with nuclear and radioactive materials use, or in places of materials detection. The Republic of Moldova is one of the countries that have not nuclear industry. Therefore, the radiological security culture is considered paramount. This applies equally to graduates of the Technical University of Moldova, who are involved in activities with nuclear and other radioactive materials. To this category of graduates we attribute biomedical engineers, whose training began at the University since 2010 at the Department of Microelectronics and Biomedical Engineering. In order to increase the level of nuclear and radiation safety culture and to approve the human factor in support of effective security training programs for future biomedical engineers, the educational program is complemented by new courses. These courses are introduced for students of the first cycle and more advanced courses - for masters. The content of the courses is coordinated with the National Agency for Regulation of Nuclear and Radiological Activities of Republic of Moldova. |
