This article is dedicated to assessment of hydromorphological state of 12 river water bodies delineated in the Camenca River Basin. Analysis of hydromorphological alterations is based on the approaches and methodology proposed in Water Framework Directive and its guidelines and was realized for elaboration of Camenca River Basin Management Plan. The most significant pressure is caused by dam construction. Decreasing of water bodies lengths due to impoundments constitutes 20-55%. The same factor determines the reduction of water resources by 12-44%. This study will constitute the basis for estimation of water bodies at risk as well as development of Programme of Measures towards attaining environmental objectives for water bodies. |
