Climate change is one of the major challenges of contemporary society, and the coherent implementation of effective adaptation measures becomes an overriding imperative of public policies in the all the world's states. As a member of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Republic of Moldova, starting since 2015 year, the implementing of the National Strategy on the Adaptation to Climate Change and of its Action Plan. The purpose of the paper is to evaluate the objectives and achievements in the implementation of the Strategy's Action Plan. The main research topics are: a) the main objectives and actions of the Strategy; b) the costs and terms of realization; c) the level of achievement of the planned actions, overall, by objectives and areas of implementation; d) achievements of the Institute of Ecology and Geography in the context of the implementation of the Strategy; e) the existing constraints in carrying out the planned actions.
