Designations and Sustainable Development, held in Turin (3-8 October 2017), organised by the UNESCO Office in Venice and the Research Center Silvia Santagata. Thus, taking into account the new UNESCO’s approach towards sustainable development, namely how the World Heritage List’s nominations can contribute to the sustainable development of the communities, we try to highlight the ways in which the elements included by the Republic of Moldova (together with Romania) on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (jointly with Romania) can be sources and provide solutions to solve certain economic, environmental, social, cultural and identity problems. In such a way to be aware about the heritage which we own, its value and multiple functions. |
