Rezumat

Deprivation of liberty constitutes for every individual a situation of ample reso-nance in his way of life, both during his detention and then in his freedom. The effects of limiting freedom disturb the normal evolution of personality, create conditions for the emergence and ampli-fication of mental and psychosocial disorders. The process of resocialization in the penitentiary institutions is conditioned by the staff involved in the process, the peculiarities of the detainee's per-sonality and the use of the most appropriate social education programs and treatment methods. This task becomes more difficult when the detained person is at a fairly early age, when he is in physical, emotional and moral development, and the level of personality development should reach the cli-max. Such a category, such as children aged 14-18, and young people under the age of 21, requires a much more complex approach, including a multitude of interventions and the involvement of a multidisciplinary professional team, both during detention and, in particular, after release, when the minor may encounter major difficulties in resocialization.
